The primary grind in Bungie’s free-to-play MMO shooter Destiny 2 is acquiring strong Exotics to boost your power level. While some treasure is much more valuable than others, the method for acquiring it is usually the same. So, whether you’re a new player or simply looking for some advice on how to get the finest gear, we’re here to help. We’ll go through the three primary methods to acquire exotics in Destiny 2 in this tutorial.
In Destiny 2, here’s how to acquire exotics:
- Sector Is Missing
- Activities in PvE
- PvP-related activities
Sectors that have gone missing
For a long time, this has been the go-to exotic farm for skilled gamers. It has essentially replaced the Three of Coins, which were eliminated at the beginning of Forsaken.
However, unlike the Three of Coins, there is a catch. Exotic armor can only be found in Legendary and Master Lost Sectors. For the time being, neither cycle provides weapon drops.
Lost Sectors, on the other hand, makes up for it in terms of drop rates. During a day of farming, you may receive many pieces of exotic armor, much more than other exotic dropping activities.
You also have the advantage of knowing which slot you’re farming from, so you won’t receive chest drops if you’re farming for legs.
This is without a doubt the greatest exotic farm in the game right now, but it’s only available to endgame players. While you may be able to farm Legendary Sectors before reaching the light limit, you won’t be able to take advantage of Master Lost Sectors, which means you’ll have lesser drop rates.
Even yet, if you can’t handle the Master version, Legendary Lost Sectors are still the greatest choice for farming exotics.
Activities in PvE
Aside from Lost Sectors, regular PvE and PvE activities are your only choices for exotic drops.
Nightfalls, Strikes, Raids, and seasonal events like Override are all available in PvE.
In comparison to Lost Sectors, all three of them have very low exotic drop rates. You may, however, combine exotic farming with these activities, as well as any bounties or missions you have.
If you make endgame PvE activities your primary source of exotics, you can successfully multitask. You won’t get the same sort of outcomes as you would with Lost Sectors, however.
PvP-related activities
So you’ve got Raids, Nightfalls, and Lost Sectors. You’ll receive the most consistent exotic loot if you do all three of those PvE activities.
PvP doesn’t come close to providing the same level of variety. The Crucible, as well as Trials and the Iron Banner, are available to all PvP players. Given that two of these three are rotational, the Crucible is the only place where you can get PvP engrams.
Unfortunately, you’ll experience the same drop rates as with Strikes, which means you won’t see much of that yellow deliciousness on a daily basis. PvP gamers don’t have much of a choice since it’s the only reliable PvP exotic farming technique.
