The Manticore is a mythological beast that serves as the boss in Scorched Earth, and is the sole monster on the map that players must kill in order to advance to the finale.
This monster is a hybrid of many species, with the body and head of a lion, bat-like wings, and a scorpion’s stinger that can unleash poisonous darts.
Due to its enormous strength and ability to soar and swoop down, the Manticore, first featured in the Scorched Earth map, has proved to be one of the hardest, if not irritating, animals.
What is the best way to summon Manticore?
Bring all of the necessary tributes to one of the Obelisks and use them to start the boss battle to summon the Manticore.

The Manticore may be found on the Ragnarok Map and the Valguero Map, where they spawn with other bosses.
Defeating the Manticore
After utilizing the tribute, you’ll teleport into the arena and land on a platform in the Scorned Crags (also known as Manticore Arena.)
Before engaging you, the Manticore will let out a ferocious roar, trying to go straight for you and any domesticated animals you have.
When the Manticore is in the air, it will try to swoop down and swipe you with a strong melee attack or fire out numerous missiles that do damage and put you to sleep.
When the Manticore is far away and you’re riding on the back of one of your tames, it’s ideal to have a strong ranged weapon and ammunition for inflicting damage.
When the Manticore comes near or sprays poisonous missiles, be careful to mount your tames.
When you’re riding a horse. Because the projectile torpor has a limited radius of impact, you may be affected, which may be mitigated by wearing a Gas Mask or Tek Helmet.
Bringing Stamina recovery supplies may assist you or your tames escape being knocked unconscious by the torpor caused by the Manticore’s ranged strikes.
Your best option is to use animals like Rexes, Spinos, or Therizinosaurus, which have a lot of health and can battle the Manticore.
Beware of the Alpha Deathworms that emerge if you walk off the platform, as well as the Rock Elementals that spawn after the Manticore’s health has been lowered to a certain degree.

Tips
- The Manticore is the sole monster in Scorched Earth, although it may be found with other bosses on other maps.

Several months ago, the ARK developers released a boss (Manticore) that had the ability to drop a scorched enemies that can drop Scorched Eggs.
